Despite the long Ascension weekend, 20 members turned up for what turned out to be a very pleasant Spring evening in the grounds of the Altes Schloss, Bümpliz, a surprising oasis of calm and greenery in a busy city. We were served a very ample aperitif but nonetheless 15 of us stayed on for a Meal and a lot of inspired conversation. We were pleased to welcome new members Richard and Rosemary Clifton all the way from Montana. Nigel’s souvenirs of Royal Maundy were seen and appreciated. Nigel proposed the Loyal Toast and a special Toast was made to the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge. You can see the photos here.
