Basle QBP, 18 June 2009

Once again we managed to choose the only beautifully sunny day between rainy ones. More amazing was the fact that as we were waiting for guests to arrive, the surrounding villages had thunder storms but in Binningen it was calm and beautiful. People are always saying that St. Peter has certain preferences by taking care of the weather or supporting teams but after our QBP, I have to say that he most definitely has a soft spot for the BRA and the 45 members and guests who attended.
The Loyal Toast was proposed by the Honorary Consul for Basle, Dr. Alan Chalmers, who gave his usual entertaining speech and reading of the message from Buckingham Palace. The party lasted well into the evening with a wonderful buffet and refreshments.
